Los Angeles, CA CRL-U.S. Aluminum, a leading manufacturer of architectural glazing systems, has revamped its Series 900 Terrace Door with new ADA-compliant features that enhance its overall function. With these revisions, CRL aims to provide a high performance door that increases accessibility and meets building code regulations.
Presenting a modern aesthetic, Series 900 Terrace Doors now feature a Fair Housing Act and ADA-compliant low profile threshold, as well as an optional 10” bottom rail. The low profile threshold allows individuals with disabilities to more easily pass through the doors, and the optional 10” bottom rail eliminates floor-level door protrusions that could catch a cane, crutch, walker, or wheelchair.
Series 900 Terrace Doors are equipped with several performance enhancements that make them ideal for hotels, multifamily high-rises, commercial buildings, and more. The doors are thermally broken and feature reinforced double polyamide glass strips for superior protection against the elements. Series 900 Terrace Doors are AAMA AW-PG55 rated, and are designed to withstand heavy traffic using secure five-point stainless steel locking devices for single doors, and seven-point locking devices for pairs of doors.
“With the Series 900 Terrace Door redesign, we want to provide a complete entrance system that meets all accessibility and performance requirements so it’s easier for architects and glaziers to specify,” said Gerald Hendrick, President of U.S. Aluminum.
The new Series 900 Terrace Doors are available in three door handle styles and in 12 architectural finishes. For more information, call (800) 421-6144 ext. 5305 or email usalum@crlaurence.com. You may also visit crl-arch.com.
