CSM Lodging plans to develop 160-room hotel in Forest Park Development

CSM Lodging, a division of CSM Corp., closed on a parcel of land within the city's thriving Forest Park Development. The company plans to build, own and operate what will be the newest hotel in the area, a Hilton Garden Inn. "I am thrilled to welcome the Hilton Garden Inn to the city of Marlborough. They are a great addition to our hospitality community, and I expect great things from them in the coming years," said Marlborough mayor Arthur Vigeant. Marlborough's Forest Park Development includes one million s/f of commercial office space, 350 new residential units, and an estimated 35,000 s/f of retail and dining space is planned as the second phase of the project. With its close proximity to Boston, Worcester and Providence, the area is a thriving business and retail destination. CSM Lodging's new Hilton Garden Inn will draw guests from the 50.5 million s/f Metro West office market area, and area that is home to such notable employers as TJX Companies, Dow Chemical Company, EMC Corp., Boston Scientific Corp., Hologic, Inc., Fidelity Investments, Wellington Management, National Grid, Raytheon, Intel, Hewlett Packard (3Com), Staples, Bose Corp. and Genzyme among many others. "Only 45 minutes from downtown Boston, the Forest Park development area is a center of activity and economic growth," said Bob Micklash, president of CSM Lodging. "As major corporations continue to move into Marlborough, we recognized a need for a new, updated hotel to accommodate the area's growing community. We are excited by the activity within the immediately adjacent office park and could not be more pleased to make this venture a reality." Working toward a first quarter 2016 grand opening, CSM's planned Hilton Garden Inn will be the newest hotel in the area and feature 160 rooms, restaurant and bar, patio, a business center, fitness center, and pool. CSM Lodging acquires, develops and manages quality hospitality real estate investments within select markets across the United States. The company is known for their business ethos of treating their customers and associates with integrity and respect, and for their commitment to the future of the communities in which they live and work.
