According to Campanelli, Mercury Systems, Inc. has expanded their design and manufacturing space at 267 Lowell Rd., signing a lease for the final 28,000 s/f of vacant space. Mercury is a best-of-breed provider of commercially developed, open sensor and Big Data processing systems for critical commercial, defense and intelligence applications. Transwestern RBJ's Jamey Lipscomb and John Wilson represented Mercury Systems, while Cushman & Wakefield's Thomas Farrelly, Denis Dancoes and Sue Ann Johnson represented Campanelli.
Mercury initially leased 72,000 s/f at 267 Lowell Rd. in July 2013 that includes 12,000 s/f of clean room space. The building features sophisticated infrastructure including electronic secure airlock doors, massive electrical power and specialized process water piping. Campanelli utilized its in-house construction arm, Campanelli Construction to make turn-key renovations to the office, R&D and clean room space customized for Mercury's needs.
"Finding a space that met our extremely complex infrastructure requirements was critical to the expansion of our business. This facility, and the work Campanelli has done to deliver a turn-key solution to us, enhances our ability to expand manufacturing capabilities, build new relationships and offer best-in-class solutions to our customers" said Kevin Beals, vice president and general manager of Mercury's RF & Microwave Solutions Group.
