Waltham, MA Dakota Partners has hired C.J. Horvath and elevated Matt Abraham to development senior project manager.

“The addition of C.J. and the promotion of Matt strengthens Dakota’s development team,” said Dakota EVP of acquisitions and development, Cheryl Stulpin. “Their combined experience and skills will be instrumental in leading their respective projects from acquisition to operating.”

Horvath has been working in affordable housing development in Southern California for the past six years. Most recently, he worked for the nonprofit developer, Hollywood Community Housing Corp., leading their acquisitions and several of their projects in development. Horvath’s experience includes developing both permanent supportive housing and general affordable housing. With his expansive knowledge of the industry, strong leadership and communication skills, and a keen eye for detail, they’re confident that Horvath will be a valuable and positive addition to the development team.

“I’m eager to work with Dakota’s team of expert developers and professionals to build impactful projects,” said Horvath of his new position. “There is a deep need for housing throughout New England and I’m excited to work with the Dakota and its partners to build housing that addresses that need.”

Abraham has been a critical member of the Dakota team for almost five years. In this time, he has formed strong working partnerships, both internally and externally, and he has proven his ability to work independently on and excel in all aspects of the development project lifecycle. As SPM, he will use these skills to lead projects teams while drawing on his internal relationships for some oversight and guidance.

In his years with Dakota, Abraham has grown along with the organization. About his experience, Abraham said, “Participating in Dakota Partners’ multi-faceted growth has been a source of great fulfillment for me. I’m honored at the opportunity to be promoted within Dakota’s Development Team and I look forward to taking on new responsibilities and contributing even more to the success of our team.”

These appointments underscore Dakota’s commitment to building a talented and dynamic workforce that will drive them toward continued growth and success.
