The Davis Companies closes long-term lease with Downeast Global Logistics at 530 John Hancock Rd.

Taunton, MA The Davis Companies (Davis) negotiated a new lease with Downeast Global Logistics LLC (Downeast), a New England regional extension of SEKO Logistics’ global supply chain network, at 530 John Hancock Rd. Downeast will occupy 107,055 s/f beginning in August 2026 and will leverage the space to expand its distribution operations.

Davis acquired the industrial facility in 2020, when it was fully leased to an international logistics and distribution company. Late last year, Davis launched a strategic leasing initiative to attract new tenants to the Class A asset, while maintaining a competitive market standing. Davis made the decision to preserve existing infrastructure including racking systems and a cold storage room from previous tenants, creating a key opportunity that aligned with Downeast’s long-term growth plans and operational needs.

“This long-term lease agreement with Downeast reflects the continued strength of the industrial market and Davis’ collaborative approach to matching the most innovative tenants with the ideal spaces they need to scale,” said David Allen, managing director asset management at Davis and lead for the firm’s industrial and self-storage vertical. “530 John Hancock offers infrastructure tenants can utilize to optimize their operations and we look forward to partnering closely with Downeast as we continue to grow our roster at 530 John Hancock Rd. and other industrial centers within Davis’ portfolio.”

The warehouse is located within the 1,000+ acre Myles Standish Industrial Park, which includes tenants such as Amazon, Reinhart, Americold, and other businesses in the high-tech, manufacturing, and office spaces. Situated on more than 11 acres, the facility at 530 John Hancock Rd. features 32-ft. clear heights, dual-sided loading to accommodate multi-tenant operations, an Es/fR sprinkler system, and truck courts for additional trailer storage capacity.

“We are thrilled to become 530 John Hancock Rd.’s newest tenant as we expand our presence throughout Massachusetts and the southern New England market,” said Patrick Wyndham, president and CEO at Downeast. “The location, functionality, and move-in ready features made this the right opportunity for Downeast’s expansion and allows us to leverage existing infrastructure to enhance our distribution capabilities and strengthen supply chain operations, without costly updates.”

The facility includes a total of 181,900 s/f.

This may seem self-serving, and I’ll be the first to admit it. But unlike some of the artificial intelligence tools now reshaping our industry, I am fully aware of my own bias. So, hear me out. The rise of AI in commercial real estate is not a distant threat or a speculative headline.
