DelVecchio Golf Tournament benefits Habitat For Humanity

October 31, 2013 - Owners Developers & Managers

With over 144 players participating in tournament play and over 200 in attendance at a post-event reception and banquet, friends and colleagues gathered at LeBaron Hills Country Club on September 23rd to golf and share fond memories of the late John DelVecchio.
A vice president and portfolio manager for many years at Barkan Management Company in Boston, DelVecchio is remembered for his exceptional skills as a manager of large condominium communities.
Tournament fees and donations made in his memory resulted in a check for $22,500 being presented to Habitat For Humanity of Greater Boston after the tournament. Habitat was DelVecchio's favorite charity and has been long supported by Barkan Management, his employer.
In sharing memories of his colleague and friend, Barkan Management president Bill DiSchino said, "John was widely admired by his clients, colleagues and friends. He was a man of outstanding integrity, special character and deep faith - a loving husband and father, and an all-around 'great guy.'"
Habitat For Humanity Greater Boston builds affordable housing throughout the region for needs-qualified families. Barkan Management, a real estate services firm, is a continuing supporter of Habitat For Humanity.
