Mirbeau Inn & Spa to open at The Pinehills

Opening in spring 2014, Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills will be an elegant 50-room destination retreat reminiscent of a romantic French country manor house. Designed by architectural firm Arrowstreet's lead architects David Bois and Sarah Mobraten, with interior designs by Linda Dower, who is a co-owner of The Mirbeau Companies, and Westley Spruill, principal of Deeson Design, the new Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills will feature distinctive design and décor, recreating the look of a romantic French country estate, utilizing elements from classic French architecture. In addition to guest suites, Mirbeau Inn & Spa will feature a 15,000 s/f SpaMirbeau, the Henri-Marie restaurant, a Wine Bar/Bistro, and plentiful meeting and banquet space. The buildings wrap around Mirbeau's signature Monet Gardens and a waterfall at the Spa Entrance Upon entering the Manor House, guests will find a reception area outfitted with an antique desk and elegant antique tapestry evoking the property's setting. The living room, library and the cozy and casual Wine Bar/Bistro will look out through a series of glass paneled French doors to a wraparound porch overlooking lush Koi fish ponds and gardens inspired by Monet's famous pond gardens in Giverny outside of Paris. The Manor House is connected to the private guest wing by a wooden, covered bridge that spans the stream flowing from the main garden pond to the waterfall. Adjacent to the Manor House, is a separate stone building evocative of the estate's "Chapel" which will be home to Henri-Marie, Mirbeau's fine dining restaurant. Restaurant guests will enter through a distinctive separate entry with a flared roof and decorative, Art Nouveau-inspired wrought iron columns. Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills will have 5,000 s/f of function space including a 1,500 s/f ballroom and a garden event area for larger social and business events. The chapel will also provide an ideal space for more intimate gatherings and weddings. Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills will be the second property in the Mirbeau Collection. It joins the original Monet-inspired retreat located in the Village of Skaneateles, in the picturesque Finger Lakes Region of Central New York. Renowned for its award-winning accommodations, spa, dining, and world-class service, Mirbeau has become a highly-regarded destination for guests from near and far.
