DeStefano honored with NHBR excellence award

Portsmouth, NH Lisa DeStefano of DeStefano Architects (D|A) was honored at the 13th annual NH Business Review Business Excellence Awards with a leadership award for Excellence in Real Estate and Construction – Small Business.

Since its inception in 2003, the Business Excellence Awards have honored individuals who share a commitment to serving their communities. 

The award winners are acknowledged for setting inspiring examples of business success throughout the state and for being businesspeople whose accomplishments can serve as inspiration to other entrepreneurs.  Winners were selected by an independent panel of judges who made their selections based on specific standards including achievements and accomplishments, dedication to chosen profession, innovation and vision displayed by nominees, and more.  Each judge spent hours reviewing nomination materials.

In a nomination letter penned by Steven Marchand, former mayor of Portsmouth and current principal of SRM Consulting, said this of DeStefano: “We are very fortunate to have Lisa’s fingerprints on the future of our community”.

Principal architect and owner of DeStefano Architects, Lisa DeStefano has dedicated her professional career to providing New England clients with residential and commercial architectural design for over 20 years. She has focused her strong sense of community and expertise in current and past participation in a wide variety of boards, committees and volunteerism. DeStefano currently serves on the Provident Bank board of trustees and recently spearheaded a tour of development in downtown Portsmouth with the Urban Land Institute.  She is passionate about inspiring and mentoring youths interested in the field of architecture – her firm annually participates in the “World of Work” program at the Portsmouth Middle School.
