BKA Architects names Seibert president

Brockton, MA BKA Architects has made a major leadership transition. A new team, already in place, is helping the firm to better manage business growth while maintaining its commitment to superior, client-focused design services.

Barry Koretz, who founded BKA in 1974, sees a bright future for the firm. “This transition is an organic outgrowth of the principles on which our firm was founded 40 years ago,” said Koretz.

David Seibert, long-time principal at BKA, has been named president of the firm and has taken over responsibilities for a new BKA office in Boston.

In charge of design at BKA, Seibert holds a Masters Degree from Clemson University and has more than 30 years’ experience delivering conceptual designs and renderings that translate customer visions into reality. “At BKA, growth is on the agenda,” said Seibert. “With new offices in Boston, we’re expanding our footprint to bring more of our services and skills to more clients in and around the New England region.”

New to the leadership team are Keith Bettencourt and Kevin Paton — both of whom have been named principals.

Bettencourt, who holds a degree in architecture from Roger Williams University, bringing over 16 years of experience managing projects from preliminary design through construction administration. With the firm since 1999, he is known for building strong relationships and for delivering projects on time and within budget, “Our retail customers are at the core of our business.” said Bettencourt. “I look forward to growing new relationships and strengthening those we’ve had for years.”

Paton holds a degree in architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Working with BKA since 1997, he is responsible for major client relationships and for managing a range of projects including commercial centers and major retailers throughout New England. Known for his project management skills, Mr. Paton frequently takes on challenging assignments adapting major retailer programs to the local aesthetic. “I am excited about the new direction we’re taking at BKA,” said Paton. “I think our clients will be very pleased.”
