Development Associates continues construction on the Northampton I-91 Professional Center

Construction continues at the Northampton I-91 Professional Center. With 60% of the 33,000 s/f building preleased, construction is set to be complete for tenant move-in by September of this year. This 3-story medical/professional office building is the first phase of the largest office project proposed and developed in Northampton in decades. This project features dramatic architectural finishes and a high proportion of glass, to let in natural light. Green technologies along with energy efficient mechanical systems are being incorporated throughout the building to reduce energy usage and improve the overall quality. Tenants can have the opportunity designed floor-plan to maximize the efficiency of their business. A second building in the complex has already been approved for an additional 39,000 s/f and is expected to get underway later this year. In addition, Development Associates has represented the landlord of Agawam Crossing located at 200 Silver St. in Agawam, along with the tenants in 2 new leases totaling 3,200 s/f. Associates in Women's Health Care, headed by Dr. Sharon MacMillan, has signed a 10 year lease for a medical office on the second floor. Adjacent, is a newly built office for the practice of Dr. Michael Haynes, Podiatrist. Included in Dr. Haynes' build-out are exam rooms, a large open waiting room area and custom finished details. The build-out for these tenants will be complete and ready for occupancy this month. Development Associates has been developing commercial and industrial property throughout the pioneer valley for over 30 years. The company has completed numerous major projects throughout the region including the Agawam Crossing Professional Building, the 85,000 s/f North American Headquarters for Convergent Lasers in the Chicopee River Business Park, 190,000 s/f Greenfield, Corporate Center, Seahorse BioScience and dozens of other single and multi-tenant facilities. Development Associates manages a 1.5 million s/f portfolio of properties.
