Diversified Project Management hires Jones as senior project mgr.; will work from the East Hartford, Conn. office

Diversified Project Management (DPM), has hired Tom Jones as senior project manager. Jones has over 22 years of project management and business development expertise in the healthcare and environmental systems industries with strong planning, problem solving and project management capabilities. He is a certified project management professional (PMP), with a solid track record in renovation project execution and end-user satisfaction. Jones's range of experience and expertise includes the management of design/build projects. As senior project manager at DPM, Jones will be responsible for the management, consulting and execution of projects for a variety of clients, including several projects at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London. "It's exciting to welcome Tom to DPM as he stands to make an immediate impact on our team,‰ said Bob Keeley, president of DPM. "Tom brings to the table a wide-range experience in project management, as well as a track record of leadership, all of which is invaluable to our firm." Prior to joining DPM, Jones was project manager at Saint Vincent's Medical Center. At Saint Vincent's, Jones was responsible for a variety of renovation projects ranging from $10,000 to $3 million including the Ambulatory Surgery Center, Cath Labs, Family Birthing Center, Patient Room Renovations, Pharmacy and Medical Records Department among others. Jones also worked as project executive at American Construction Group and as project manager for Babcock Power. He has also held multiple positions with ABB Combustion Engineering, including project manager, chief consultant, director of international licensing operations and joint ventures and director of product development. Jones is a graduate of the Mass. Institute of Technology, where he received a master of science in Civil Engineering. Jones also holds a master of business adm. from the University on Conn. and a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College.
