Donovan joins BOND as vice president of healthcare

BOND has added Shawn Donovan as vice president. A 35-year veteran of the Boston construction industry, Donovan's depth of experience and expertise will allow BOND to better serve its clients and continue to grow its healthcare portfolio. Donovan has completed major healthcare projects throughout New England, including the $265 million, 420,000 s/f Ruth J. Shapiro Cardiovascular Center for Boston's Brigham & Women's Hospital; a $125 million, 380,000 s/f expansion to Maine Medical Center, including a women and infant's center and a central utility plant; and the $33 million, 94,000 s/f four-story addition to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., composed of endoscopy and labor/delivery departments, an outpatient clinic, and cardiology rehab space. His long-standing relationships with healthcare clients in the Boston market include Brigham & Women's Hospital, where Donovan has completed more than 300 renovation projects in the last 15 years; the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where he has delivered over $15 million in renovation work in the last 10 years; and Boston Medical Center, where he led construction of the $165 million, 280,000 s/f Carl J. and Ruth Shapiro Ambulatory Care Center and the Menino Pavilion expansion, composed of an emergency department and OR suite. BOND's Healthcare Group is currently constructing Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham's 30,000 s/f West Suburban Cancer Center and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's $10 million Jimmy Fund Clinic. They also recently completed the addition of a Combined Heat & Power Facility to Burlington's Lahey Health.
