January 06, 2011 - Connecticut
Diversified Project Management (DPM) recently completed the relocation of three University of Connecticut Health Center research departments.
Diversified Project Management was hired by the University of Connecticut Health Center to provide move coordination and relocation services to its new Cell and Genome Sciences Building. The project included the relocation of approximately 200 people, departments and labs to a newly renovated 117,000 s/f facility at 400 Farmington Ave. Among the relocated departments were the Center for Cell Analysis and Modeling (CCAM), the Department of Genetics and Developmental Biology and the Technology Incubation Program. Included in the relocation were wet and dry labs, an eight-ft. vibration table and the CCAM data center.
DPM coordinated the relocation of all items through an RFP process with existing State of Connecticut on-call mover agreements as well as required equipment vendors for relocation and re-calibration as it related to the sensitive equipment. The project was completed in multiple phases to accommodate the needs and schedules of staff, lab work and equipment vendors.
