EBC names EBEE Award winners

The Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC) named the winners of the 19th Annual EBEE Awards. The winners will be honored on June 6th at the 22nd annual meeting and 19th EBEE awards celebration, being held at the Burlington Marriott. Bob Varney, senior vice president at Normandeau Associates and former New England EPA regional administrator will serve as the emcee for the program. The Paul G. Keogh Environmental Award for Government Service
Award recipient: Thomas Burack, commissioner, Dept. of Environmental Services, State of N.H.
In recognition of outstanding leadership and dedication to government service and significant contributions to the quality of the environment in N.H. and New England.
EBC James D.P. Farrell Brownfields Project of the Year Award
Award recipients: City of Springfield, Springfield Redevelopment Authority and Western Mass. Electric Company
In recognition of the redevelopment of the Indian Orchard Brownfield Site into the largest solar energy facility in Massachusetts.
The EBC Environmental Merit Award for Leadership by a Non-Profit Organization

In recognition of the outstanding development of science, environmental, and energy educational programs for underprivileged urban youth.
The Nicholas Humber Environmental-Energy Award for Outstanding Collaboration
