David Ellis, Conway Commercial

According to Conway Commercial, a division of the Jack Conway Real Estate Company, David Ellis joined its growing sales team. Ellis will work out of the Conway-Quincy office concentrating on the sale and leasing of retail, office, industrial and investment properties. He left his post as a commercial sales agent in the Plymouth area to join the Conway group in July.
"We're excited about the major commercial developments planned for Quincy and Weymouth," said Paul Durgin, vice-president of Conway Commercial. "Dave will help us service those and other areas of our marketplace. He has a solid background in commercial sales as well as in construction and financing. I know he'll be a key player on our team."
Ellis is the oldest son of Jay Ellis, owner of Ellis Building Corp. in Marshfield.
"I worked with my father's company building custom homes in Marshfield, Hingham and Scituate," said the 2006 Babson College graduate. "My degree is in finance, but I decided to become a realtor because I love the tangible aspect of real estate. As a builder, you come to appreciate that."
Ellis is looking forward to the $1.6 billion "Street Works" urban revitalization project in downtown Quincy as well as the giant SouthField project, which is already underway in South Weymouth. "This is an exciting time for commercial real estate on the South Shore," he said. "I'm happy to be a part of it."
Born and raised in Marshfield, Ellis currently lives in Weymouth. He is an ambassador for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the South Shore Young Professionals Sponsorship Committee. He also serves on the executive board of the Marshfield/Pembroke/Duxbury Business Council.
