Emad Elsakka, PE, Assoc. DBIA, has joined Nitsch Engineering as director of structural engineering. Elsakka is a structural engineer with more than 26 years of experience leading the design of bridge, building, and waterfront structures. His project delivery experience includes design-bid-build, design-build, and construction management at risk.
His extensive experience in bridge design, structural analysis, NBIS inspection, bridge load rating, and construction engineering services has resulted in an in-depth knowledge of structural engineering that allows him to devise innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet his clients' needs.
As the director of Nitsch Engineering's new structural engineering practice, Elsakka is responsible for the management, technical leadership, and growth of our structural engineering practice. The practice will focus on providing structural engineering services to support horizontal construction such as roadways, bridges, culverts, and other site elements for State DOTs, municipalities, and contractors,
Elsakka is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies/Massachusetts, where he is actively involved in the Transportation Agencies Liaison Committee (TALC). He is also a member of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section, where he is past chair of the Infrastructure Group. Elsakka earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
