MOLD - Should you panic? No. Should you be concerned? YES!
Molds are naturally occurring fungi all around us, indoors and out. Mold decreases property value, infects the air you breathe and can cause a variety of health problems.

Remember: Moisture is the underlying problem, mold is the result.
In any mold removal project:
The first step is to identify and located the water intrusion and/or causative moisture source that allowed the mold growth in the first place. Was your home or business flooded? Do you have a leaky roof or plumbing issues? Is your place properly ventilated?

The second step is to fix the root of the problem by eliminating the moisture source to ensure that the mold will not return. If you clean up the mold but do not fix the source, the mold will flourish again.

The third step is to determine the best method to decontaminate the area and follow the prescribed procedures. EnviroVantage has the only license in the state of NH to apply EPA registered chemicals to clean up all kinds of mold and bacteria.
For those of you reading this that don't know much about us, let me briefly introduce you to EnviroVantage. We are celebrating our 25th year in business as New England's most trusted Environmental & Specialty Services Contractor specializing in services such as mold/microbial remediation, asbestos and lead paint removal, disaster recovery, H1N1 decontamination & infection control, demolition, coatings, environmental cleanup and more.
If you have worked with EnviroVantage on one of your past projects, you certainly know how committed we are to high quality workmanship, safety and environmental responsibility. We pride ourselves in finishing each job on time and on budget while going above and beyond the expectations of our clients ensuring their complete satisfaction.

Recent project example:
The spring storm blasting through the state of New Hampshire left a path of destruction in its wake. The NH Distribution Facility in Concord was left in distress when the strong winds (gusts up to 68 mph) ripped the roof off, busting sprinklers, pipes and flooding the building. One call to EnviroVantage and our 24/7 Emergency Response Team came to the rescue to clean up the water and prevent mold growth and further water damage from occurring.
The EV team worked diligently throughout the days, nights and weekends following the storm setting up mobilized dehumidifiers, blowers and wet vacs to take care of the flooding. Workers performed selective demolition such as removing wet sheet rock, soaking up water, ripping up soppy carpets and exposing some framing. Throughout this process a dangerous material was uncovered - asbestos, a known cancer causing agent.
Instead of inconveniently having to halt the project and call in another contractor, EnviroVantage promptly sent in emergency notification to the state of NH to begin abatement immediately, as we are licensed in multiple disciplines including the removal of asbestos. Permission was received to continue the project as the scope of work increased to remove all asbestos inside the building including floor and ceiling tiles. The proper containments were set up, and the EV team was successful in eliminating this hidden danger to everybody working in the building. We were happy to assist in their time of need.
This case study is real proof of our expertise, work ethic and dedication to our clients. One of the reasons our clients continuously refer us to their friends is our innovation and creativity when we attack each project. Whether it is a simple residential project such as treating a crawlspace, or an extensive commercial project involving multiple services like demo, hazardous material abatement, restoration and more, EnviroVantage is well known for coming up with the most efficient way to complete the job successfully, saving you both time and money.
