Cape Neddick ME The Cliff House in Cape Neddick, one of the most spectacular oceanside settings on the East Coast, is undergoing a major transformation, marking one of its most dramatic periods since its original opening in 1872.

Situated on the coastline of Maine, The Cliff House Oceanfront Resort offers views and endless relaxation, on over 70 oceanfront acres. When it reopens this summer, it will do so with luxuriously designed guestrooms and suites– all with modern amenities and extraordinary views, oceanfront dining and bars, a new ballroom with floor to ceiling scenic views, a seasonal lobster shack, and an expansive spa & wellness center.

EnviroVantage, one of New England’s largest specialty companies for historical restoration has been on site since November, performing extensive selective removal work of all interior finishes to include all Gyp wall board, all flooring and most ceiling systems. In preparation for the grand resort to return to its former glory, EnviroVantage owner Scott Knightly noted his teams challenges. “There were many which necessitated managing 35 workers and loading some 100 plus dumpsters with materials. The remote location, the proximity to the cliffs and the ocean were added challenges however those all paled in comparison to the aggressive time line as we had to deliver a clean and accessible work area to the rest of the trades to perform their scope of work. We delivered, on time, on schedule.”

When the work is completed and The Cliff House reopens, in addition to an elevated experience of service and luxury, the resort will feature programming and amenities offering curated, authentically-immersed experiences for guests to enjoy a genuinely local feel. The Cliff House Resort & Spa will emerge as one of the most treasured New England coastal getaways and as the largest event destinations in the area, ideal for weddings, social gatherings, and corporate retreats.
