Erland Construction selected by Cimpress for 14,000 s/f office fit-out

Burlington, MA Erland Construction, in partnership with CBT Architects and Cresa, has been selected by Cimpress to complete a 14,000 s/f office fit-out at 2400 District Ave. The project will support the company’s relocation of its collaboration center from Waltham and create a flexible workplace environment designed to foster engagement and community among team members who work remotely.

A global leader in web-to-print mass customization, Cimpress is the parent company of brands including VistaPrint, Pens.com, BuildASign, and Pixartprinting. The new Class A office space will serve as a collaboration and conferencing hub for team members, providing flexible spaces that support in-person meetings and team gatherings.

The fit-out will include upgraded audiovisual technology, refreshed finishes, new millwork and flooring, and enhancements to the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Together, these improvements will create a modern, high-performing workplace tailored to Cimpress’ operational needs and workplace culture.

“This new office will provide a collaborative hub for our teams and support the way we work most effectively across the company,” said Jonathan Chevalier, SVP, Treasurer at Cimpress. “We’re excited to invest in a space that enhances the team member experience enables us to work together to deliver on our mission to help millions of businesses build brands, stand out, and grow via customized physical marketing products and branded merchandise.”

Construction will take place within an occupied building, requiring careful planning and coordination to minimize disruption to neighboring tenants and ongoing operations. Erland’s team will leverage its extensive experience delivering occupied renovations to maintain a safe, efficient construction process while ensuring quality and schedule objectives are met.

“Today’s workplaces must support a variety of ways of working while creating opportunities for teams to connect and collaborate,” said Matt Combs, Vice President, Director of Operations at Erland Construction. “We’re excited to partner with Cimpress on this project and deliver a space that supports their employees, reflects their brand, and positions them for continued success.”

The project marks Erland’s first collaboration with Cimpress. As a Burlington-based company approaching its 50th year in business, Erland is proud to help organizations create workplaces that support innovation, collaboration, and long-term growth.
