EVO Real Estate Group negotiates 15-year lease for City Winery at One Canal St.

Boston, MA EVO Real Estate Group, a member of NAI Global, is helping to make Beantown a scene-town, having negotiated a 15-year lease for City Winery in the city’s trendy North End.

With four established locations in New York, Chicago, Nashville and Atlanta, City Winery offers full-service restaurants combined with live music venues, functioning wineries and private event spaces. The Boston locale, which is projected to open in October, contains 20,000 s/f on the ground floor and 10,000 s/f in the basement of the residential development One Canal St., an Aimco community under construction.

“We searched for an appropriate space for approximately three years,” said Robert Frischman, an executive vice president of EVO, who also represented City Winery in finding its New York City and Chicago locations. “Large cities are a challenge because there is limited inventory in the size range required for a City Winery installation.  When we looked at One Canal St., we knew the wait had been worth it.  The future residents of this luxury development represent exactly the right type of demographic to which City Winery caters.”

We are thrilled to be opening in the heart of Boston’s historic District,” said Michael Dorf, CEO and founder of City Winery.

“We strive to deliver the highest-end combined culinary and cultural experience to customers who are passionate in sharing wine, music and culinary arts.  Boston will be a very strong market for us given the sophisticated audiences there; we could not be more excited to have finally found the perfect home.”

Ann Ehrhart of Boston Urban Partners represented Aimco in the lease negotiations.
