Faia promoted to regional director operations at Equity Office Properties

According to Sandra Lally, vice president of operations for Equity Office Properties, Kristen Faia has been promoted to regional director operations. In her new role, Faia will be responsible for half of Equity Office Properties' Boston portfolio, or nearly six million s/f. "We are very fortunate to have such a talented individual at our firm," said Lally. "Kristen is a seasoned executive with a tremendous operations background who has come up through the ranks in our industry. She has proven her creativity in terms of cost-effective operations solutions, especially in a down economy. In addition, she is an inspiring mentor and coach and these qualities have allowed us to continue our goal of growing talent within the organization." Faia has been in the real estate industry for 19 years and with Equity Office for the past seven in various property management roles, most recently as general manager. Prior to joining Equity Office, Faia was a property manager and operations manager for Seaport Asset Management. Previously, she was an assistant property manager for R.M. Bradley & Co., Inc. Faia holds a bachelor's degree from Regis College in Weston, and is a LEED Green Associate certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and a Real Property Administrator certified by the BOMI Institute. "I am excited by the challenges at Equity Office and to continue to work within a culture that is open to the generation of new ideas," said Faia. "I am also grateful to be part of an organization that encourages, and even insists upon, work-life balance."
