FHO Partners has received both the 2009 Downtown Office Deal of the Year Award and the 2009 Suburban Office Deal of the Year Award from the Massachusetts chapter of the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) at its recent annual dinner. CBA recognized FHO Partners for negotiating the relocation of Fish & Richardson, P.C. to One Marina Park Dr. and the relocation of Avid Technology to Northwest Park in Burlington, Mass.
"The FHO team is proud to accept this recognition from the Commercial Brokers Association," said Joe Fallon, managing partner at FHO. "These awards are a testament to the fact that even in challenging economic times, commitment to excellence, team work and dedication to the needs of our clients are keys to success."
The CBA of Massachusetts is a 400-member organization and a division of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.
The CBA Achievement Awards Dinner held every year is an opportunity to recognize real estate industry leaders. The recipients are nominated and judged by a panel of industry experts in several categories: Office Deal of the Year (Downtown and Suburban), Industrial Deal of the Year, Investment Sale of the Year, Retail Deal of the Year (Sale and Lease) and Life Science Deal of the Year. This years Office Deal of the Year award is FHO Partner's tenth award since 2005.
Avid Technology's ten-year lease relocation to a 203,000-square-feet in Northwest Park marks the largest lease transaction in suburban Boston in 2009. The global provider of digital audio and video production solutions will relocate from Tewksbury, MA to create its new worldwide corporate headquarters in Burlington. Partners Brian Hines and Michael Dalton represented Avid Technology in the transaction.
Fish & Richardson, one of the world's leading law firms, signed a 124,000-square-foot, 15-year lease in the new office building under construction at One Marina Park Drive on Fan Pier in the Seaport District. The building is a key part of the Fan Pier development and marks a major milestone in completing the 21-acre, 3-million-square-foot mixed used development. The new location ideally serves the needs of the firm due to its proximity to the courthouse and easy access to public transportation. Partner Barry Hynes and Executive Vice President Richard Fahey negotiated the deal for Fish & Richardson.
