Plainville, CT Senior vice resident David Fiereck has been named president of Loureiro Engineering Associates (LEA), effective January 15, 2021. In this role, Fiereck will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of LEA and will lead the implementation of various strategic initiatives focused on the growth and sustainability of LEA. Fiereck started his Loureiro career as an entry-level engineer, and over the past two decades, his innate leadership talents have supported the development and execution of growth strategies for several of their divisions.

“Dave is one of the most intellectually curious and collaborative people I ever worked with,” said Brian Cutler, Loureiro’s recently named CEO. “He has been able to channel that curiosity to deepen his technical expertise, develop extraordinary outcomes for our clients, and enhance the way we deliver services.”

One of Fiereck’s top priorities will be vertically integrating LEA’s engineering services with the services of other Loureiro subsidiaries – including construction management and general contracting services recently added via the formation of Pelletier Builders. These offerings will enable Loureiro to better serve its clients as a fully-integrated design-build partner.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with leadership across all of our divisions and subsidiaries,” said Fiereck. “Historically, we’ve held our directors to a standard set of expectations and responsibilities. My plan is to slightly refine these roles to ensure that our people work to their strengths.”

Fiereck is a member of a range of professional industry organizations, including the Society of American Military Engineers, the National Association of Surface Finishers, and the Environmental Professional’s Organization of Connecticut. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Connecticut, and his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Hartford.

“It has been a true honor to partner with Dave over the years and to witness his growth as a leader – both within Loureiro and within the industries we serve,” said Cutler. “I am confident that our employees, the company, our client base, and our portfolio of projects will flourish under Dave’s leadership as we enter this exciting next chapter of Loureiro’s growth story.”
