Former GBREB and MBREA adms. to participate in Boston 3-Day for the Cure cancer walk

At age 73, Mary Ann Jasienowski, will join 2,000 breast cancer survivors and supporters in the Susan G. Komen 2010 3-Day for the Cure on July 23, 24 and 25. The 60-mile walk begins in Framingham and ends in Boston. She was administrative assistant to Ray Hofford, executive VP of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB) and to his successor, Andy Hickey, from 1961 to 1971. For the next 20 years, she was adminstrator for the Mass. Board of Real Estate Appraisers (MBREA). In 2007, she asked friends and relatives to observe her 70th birthday by contributing to the Komen cancer event. "That walk was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It was physically exhausting and an emotional high I'd never experienced before. And I'll always remember those who generously supported my effort," said Jasienowski. Since its inception in 1982, Komen for The Cure has invested nearly $1.5 billion to end breast cancer forever.
