Fuss & O’Neill hires He and Tattersall
Manchester, CT Fuss & O’Neill has hired two new structural engineers.
Ruili He, PE, PhD joins the firm as a senior structural engineer. He, who specializes in bridge design and analysis, will support the firm’s expanding vehicular, pedestrian, and railroad bridge project presence in New England. She has spent her career designing bridges in the Midwest, and she is excited that, at Fuss & O’Neill, her new role presents her with a more holistic approach to bridge engineering. “I’m excited about the prospect of working on bridges from the ground up. Starting with geotechnical engineering and working up to the highest girder - it’s exciting to think that I can be part of every aspect of something that will be around long after I will.” She went to Tongji University, Shanghai (2006 BS, 2009, MS) and Missouri University of Science & Tech. (PhD class of 2014).
Katherine Tattersall joins Fuss & O’Neill after graduating from Worcester Polytechnic Institute this May. She began her education as a math major, but was lured by her fascination with historic buildings to a change to architectural engineering. This allows her to use math as a tool for application to ensure the longevity of our communities’ structural history. “I’m fascinated by historic preservation and adaptive reuse. It’s challenging, rewarding, and important to save historic buildings.”
