Galaxy Development completes $6 million rehab of 90,000 s/f Dayville Four Corners

Galaxy Development recently completed the $6 million renovation of the 90,000 s/f Dayville Corners Shopping Center on Rte. 101. In conjunction with the renovation of the center, leases were secured with Aldi and Dollar Tree for 28,000 s/f. Both stores celebrated grand openings in June. The shopping center is located immediately off Exit 93 of I-395 and was the site of the former Ames. It sits at the intersection of Rtes. 101 and 12 which together have a traffic count of over 30,000 cars a day. Dayville Four Corners is a quarter mile away from Killingly Commons which is anchored by Target, Lowes, Super Stop & Shop, Petco, Staples and many other national retailers. Galaxy has purchased three properties at this intersection over the last five years and has renovated stores for HR Block, Subway, Cumberland Farms, Yamato's Sushi Bar, and Nuccios Italian Deli & Pizza. A brand new Dunkin' Donuts, Shell and Walgreens were also constructed and opened at this intersection this past summer. Financing for the project was provided by People's United Bank and Allied Construction of Manchester was the general contractor. Penny Wickey of Saugatuck Commercial was the broker for the Aldi transaction, and John Wise and Todd Lornell facilitated the lease for the Dollar Tree.

Goldberg of Spire Investments purchases Beverly portfolio for $9.2m

Beverly, MA Jay Goldberg, president and owner of Spire Investments has completed the purchase of four multifamily buildings. The 33-unit purchase amounted to a sale price of $9.2 million or $278,788 per unit. The properties are all located in downtown and consist of one- and two-bedroom units.
