Gillon of Signature Group brokers 7,000 s/f lease to Posh Nail & Spa

Signature Group, a full-service commercial real estate firm, has negotiated the lease of 7,000 s/f of space on the second floor of the Darien Playhouse building, 1077 Boston Post Rd., to Posh Nail & Spa, which will operate a nail and spa services business. The space is the former location of the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, which vacated at the end of 2013. The new tenants have completely renovated the interior. Posh, which has been named to the Best of the Gold Coast Awards list for the past seven years, had its soft opening at the end of June. This is the third salon for Posh, which has locations on the Post Rd. in both Southport and Westport. Signature Group vice president Bobby Gillon represented the owners, Jason and Diana Su. The Darien Playhouse property is owned by a partnership of Collins Enterprises and Yale University. According to Gillon, the lease represents the culmination of a two-year search he conducted on behalf of Posh for the right location. The company will offer manicures, pedicures, facials and other spa services. "Not only is the Darien Playhouse a landmark building right in the heart of town, but it also provides the perfect space - and the Post Road location - that Posh Nail was seeking," said Bobby Gillon. "Dwight Collins knew I had a number of retail tenants looking for space in Darien and called me when he learned that Red Door was not renewing its lease. We're excited to have helped Jason and Diana Su to find just the right spot to expand their business." According to co-owner Diana Su, Posh differentiates itself through a laser-focus on quality, cleanliness and customer service. They hire nail technicians and other spa service specialists according to exacting standards of training and experience. Fresh implements that have been sterilized in a medical quality device are used for each customer. Posh even designed special manicure tables with space for the customers' purses to keep them from the floor. Drying tables are state-of-the-art with sensor-driven digital drying systems. Customers enjoy relaxing shoulder massages while their nails dry. "We are so excited to finally find our Darien location and look forward to becoming a part of the community," said Diana Su.
