Ileen has more than twenty five years of experience in environmental engineering, site investigation and cleanup. She has the perspective to work through complex issues effectively and support the objectives of her clients by saving both time and money. Ileen is Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP), Professional Engineer (P.E.) and a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). She has successfully managed the cleanup of sites during construction, and is a published expert in incorporating remediation into construction projects. As the lead environmental consultant on dozens of development projects, Ileen has the perspective to work through complex issues effectively and in a way that supports the objectives of her clients by saving both time and money. She often speaks on environmental matters and has written extensively on the development of contaminated properties. I feel extremely satisfied with my long-term relationship with the Gillette Company, where I helped them develop and grow their South Boston Manufacturing Center (SBMC). Providing geotechnical, environmental and engineering consulting services, GEI was an integral part of the Gillette team for both the construction of new buildings and infrastructure. One of the key lessons I took away from this project was that 'if a project needs to be built, then the project owner will figure out how to clean up the site." What award or recognition has been the most meaningful to you and why? I was extremely honored to be recognized with the NEWiRE Professional Service Award in 2010. NEWiRE provides a platform for women in our industry to build relationships within this industry and facilitates direct and lasting business connections that are directly responsible for development within our region. I'm proud of the in-roads I've been able to make through my association with NEWiRE and am grateful for the advancements I've benefited from, both for myself professionally, as well as for GEI.
