Glen & Co. to re-design Ames Boston Hotel

Boston, MA Glen & Company Architecture has been selected by Gencom and Gemstone Hotels and Resorts to re-design the Ames Boston Hotel in its multi-million renovation. Glen Coben, founder and owner of Glen & Co., along with his team will be responsible for redesigning the guest rooms and public spaces of the historic hotel.

“We are excited and honored to have been selected to design the renovations of The Ames Boston Hotel,” said Coben. “We look forward to bringing back the charm and history of The Ames Co. through our design.”

Gencom, one of North America’s leading luxury hospitality and residential / mixed-use real estate investment and development firms, recently announced that through its new partnership with Gemstone Hotels and Resorts, it acquired the 114-room Ames Boston Hotel in the heart of downtown Boston.

Originally constructed in 1893, Glen & Co. will re-design the Ames Boston Hotel to reflect the hotel’s iconic history, uniqueness and prime location in the heart of Boston. The multi-million renovation will re-position the hotel and transform it into a destination location for business and leisure travelers, offering them the finest accommodations in Boston.
