The Simon Companies has hired Randall Goldstein as vice president and director of fiduciary properties.
In this capacity, Goldstein will formulate growth strategies and actively develop new business opportunities for The Simon Cos., with an emphasis on establishing new client relationships. Goldstein will work with property owners and other entities to promote and execute the company's asset-optimization service platform specifically within the asset, property and construction-management disciplines. He also will identify property acquisition and strategic partnership opportunities to grow Simon's portfolio of commercial and multifamily holdings, as well as recommend new lines of business for the company.
"With nearly five decades of experience and expertise to call upon, The Simon Companies is well-positioned from an infrastructure and capital perspective to effectively provide our historically proven and cycle-proof asset-optimization services to a wide range of real estate companies and investors," Goldstein said. "Whether for a private or institutional client, The Simon Companies is able to do more than simply manage a property or oversee a construction project. We are able to give our clients the advice, market perspective and full fiduciary and operational representation they deserve at an extremely competitive price point and within the parameters of their overall investment objectives."
Goldstein has nearly 20 years of development, asset management, leasing and acquisitions experience in the New England real estate market working with all major property types. Prior to joining The Simon Companies, he was a member of the real estate development team for The Kraft Group, with primary responsibility for the initial and ongoing leasing of the company's 1.2 million-square-foot Patriot Place mixed-use development adjacent to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
"Over the past five years, The Simon Companies has embarked on an ambitious growth, acquisition and reinvestment campaign, and I am confident that Randy is the right person to help us continue to grow as we evolve and expand the vision, leadership and successes of our founder, Franklin W. Simon," said John G. Snyder, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of The Simon Companies. "His wealth of experience in the New England real estate market will be a great asset to us and to our clients for years to come."
Prior to The Kraft Group, Goldstein spent six years with Boston Properties, one of the largest owners, managers and developers of first-class office properties in the nation, where he concentrated on the leasing and asset management of numerous large, urban and suburban office and mixed-use developments in Greater Boston, including The Prudential Center and Cambridge Center. Early in his career, Goldstein held positions in the property management and real estate brokerage fields.
Goldstein is a member of numerous real estate industry trade organizations and has served in a variety of positions at many Boston-based organizations, including Combined Jewish Philanthropies, Jewish Vocational Services and Tufts University. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College and a bachelor's degree in economics from Tufts University.
