Construction Safety Week

Holliston, MA Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric) is proud to have promote Construction Safety Week, an annual initiative that aims to refocus and re-energize efforts to eliminate incidents on jobsites with the goal of building a safer, stronger industry. A leading electrical subcontractor throughout New England and the Southeast for over 45 years, Griffin Electric ingrains workplace safety into its culture, and best practices to ensure employee safety is instilled from day one.

In an effort to emphasize ladder safety and fall protection, safety managers made their way to each of the company’s projects throughout its five regions to speak to employees and share information about these subjects to keep them safe. Fall protection and ladder safety are critical topics impacting the construction industry, and the safety team was pleased to have the opportunity to stress their importance and highlight some helpful tips and reminders. The safety and well-being of its employees is and has always been #1 at Griffin Electric, and the company is dedicated to doing all it can to ensure that every team member makes it home safely to his or her family every day.

Griffin Electric understands that safety is ultimately everyone’s responsibility, and is proud to employ a team of individuals who have consistently demonstrated a shared commitment to perform high-quality work in a safe manner. In further recognition of this important industry-wide event, the company raffled off a series of gift cards and provided safety t-shirts for its team members, while forepersons also treated their crew members to a lunch in appreciation for all their hard work.

Construction Safety Week is just once a year, but the importance of safety is stressed daily at Griffin Electric, and its proactive approach to safety extends to the earliest phases of a project. Safety managers work closely with forepersons and complete a preconstruction safety start-up as well as conduct thorough, regular walk-throughs of each project across the company’s five regions to identify and fix potential hazards. Ongoing training and educational opportunities are also regularly offered to employees as part of Griffin Electric’s comprehensive safety program.

The company has been able to establish a standard of safety excellence for itself by putting safety at the forefront of everything it does. But most importantly, Griffin Electric has promoted the type of working environment that helps keep its entire team safe.
