September 15, 2010 - Connecticut
Jodi Gutierrez, vice president of property management for George Comfort & Sons and on-site property manager of High Ridge Park Corporate Center, was recently recognized by the ARI of Connecticut, a non-profit dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities and their families, for her service with the nonprofit organization.
Last October, High Ridge Park Corporate Center kicked off a new Recycling Program in conjunction with the ARI of CT's Day Service Options program which has raised roughly $1,000. These funds go directly back to ARI of CT for curriculum materials such as DVDs, work books, and arts and crafts supplies.
Gutierrez partnered High Ridge Park with ARI to create a program for the nonprofit's clientele to collect recyclables from each of the buildings at the corporate office park. ARI clients collect, clean and deposit cans and bottles.
Gutierrez was honored for her commitment to the ARI of CT which began with High Ridge Park's Nonprofit Office Makeover Contest (which ARI CEO Matthew Reyher won) in 2008. She continues to dedicate much of her time to nonprofit organizations in the community.
