On Friday June 5, Westborough resident Dr. Bonnie Shope and the staff of Veterinary Dental Services, LLC ceremoniously broke ground to celebrate a major milestone in the business' history. Veterinary Dental Services, LLC, located on Great Rd. in Acton since 1999, is officially moving to 540 Massachusetts Ave. in Boxboro. Completion of the new facility is expected by October. Joseph Belsito, associate vice president and Eric O'Brien, president both of O'Brien Commercial Properties represented the buyer in this land sale. The seller was Sam Paolini, also owner of Post Road Carpet in Acton. Hackala Brothers Construction is doing the complete construction. The staff eagerly await this expansion, which will enhance their ability to provide state-of-the-art dentistry and oral surgery to the dogs and cats of New England. Procedures offered include routine dental cleanings, dental radiographs and comprehensive oral examination under anesthesia. They also provide more complex care such as root canal therapy, crowns, orthodontics, surgical extractions, cancer care and repair of fractures. The new hospital is designed to provide a customized professional work environment, a nurturing space for patients, and a supportive and comfortable experience for clients, many who are coming from far away to spend the day in their care. An open house will be hosted in the fall for public tours.
