CB Richard Ellis has brokered a new 13,091 s/f lease for Margulies & Associates at Boston Children's Museum, located at 300 Congress St. Grubb & Ellis represented the landlord, Boston Children's Museum, in the transaction.
Margulies & Associates was previously headquartered at 234 Congress St. in the Financial District, where it occupied 12,000 s/f over three floors. The firm has increased its office space and will occupy a portion of the fourth floor of Boston Children's Museum, with the museum occupying floors one through three. Margulies & Associates' new space is also LEED Silver certified and provides the firm with its own entrance.

Grubb & Ellis' Christopher Rogers, senior vice president, and Ellie Fantini, senior advisor, represented Boston Children's Museum.
300 Congress St. is a 141,311 s/f class B office building located along the Fort Point Channel. Built in the 1860s, the building has been occupied by Boston Children's Museum for 30 years. A $47 million renovation added a 23,000 s/f addition to the building, as well as new landscaping, upgraded building systems and sustainable design elements. A storm water reclamation program, energy efficient lighting and a green roof earned the building's addition a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2008. Boston Children's Museum is the second-oldest children's museum in the county and welcomes more than 500,000 visitors annually.
