Housing Management Resources celebrating 15 years of business

North Quincy, MA Housing Management Resources, Inc. (HMR)achieved a significant milestone this year, celebrating 15 years of business. HMR is an affiliate of the Silver Street Development Group based out of Portland, ME. HMR was founded by its president, Richard Pierce, in the spring of 2001 to manage the growing portfolio of properties being developed by the Silver Street Companies. Creating community and enhancing value through attentive management is the cornerstone of their philosophy. HMR currently operates in a dozen states managing more than 7,000 apartments.

HMR has become a leader in the real estate management arena achieving accredited recognition by the National Affordable Housing Association, winning two national Turn Around Property of the Year awards, in addition to the national Exemplary Elder Property of the year award.

HMR is part of an elite group of management firms recognized as an Accredited Management Organization by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). In 2015, HMR senior vice president, Trish Leonard was honored as IREM Boston’s Professional Woman of the Year for her dedication to the development of real estate professionals. Pierce serves on the Boards of the Institute of Responsible Housing Preservation and the National Leased Housing Association. HMR’s leadership team is comprised of several accredited staff members including two Certified Property Managers.

HMR’s mission is to provide support and enhance the lives of the residents who live in its communities. It takes responsibility for the success of its residents by providing a comprehensive resident services program, which includes onsite job readiness and internship programs, resident activities and programing.
