Hylwa Inc. completes construction of 6,000 s/f Wachovia Bank using green building products

Hylwa Inc. teamed up with Commercial Realty Services on the successful completion of the 6,000 s/f $1.3 million Wachovia Bank project located at 22 Main St. Hylwa was contracted to construct the bank situated on 1.5 acres of land owned by 18-22 Main Street LLC. The project was completed in four months.
The building, designed by The Samuel Group, incorporates numerous energy conscious improvements conforming to the green building criteria. Among the products used were Agriboard structural wall and roof panels. The panels, utilizing an organic insulating filler, provide uninterrupted thermal protection at the building envelope reducing air infiltration by 85% compared to conventional framing.
Other green elements include storefront solar fabric shades, reflective white roofing membrane, Energy Star HVAC equipment and appliances, fluorescent and LED lamps, and low flow plumbing fixtures.
