ICSC appoints volunteer officers for Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont

According to The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Ernie Pomerleau, Pomerleau Real Estate Co., Burlington, Vt., has been appointed divisional government relations committee chair for the Eastern Division.
Additionally, the following members have been appointed as volunteer officers to represent the states of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont: Thomas Phillips, Brown Rudnick LLP, Boston, Mass., has been appointed the state director for a third term; Bryan Furze, Linear Retail Properties, LLC., Burlington, Mass., has been appointed the government relations committee chair for Massachusetts for a second term; Mary Gamage, Delhaize America, LLC., Scarborough, Me., has been appointed state government relations committee chair for Maine for a second term; Elizabeth McCormack, Cleveland, Waters & Bass, P.A., Concord, N.H., has been appointed state government relations committee chair for New Hampshire for a second term; Lawrence Platt, CSM, Eastern States Properties, Providence, R.I., has been appointed alliance private sector co-chair; Steven Azar, City of Somerville, Somerville, Mass., has been appointed state alliance public sector co-chair; Michael Walker, SCLS, Centro Properties Group, Boston Mass., has been appointed the operations chair; Candace Cole, Staples, Inc., Framingham, Mass., has been appointed retail chair; and Jackie Chamberlain, Hallmark Cards, Bedford, N.H., has been appointed the next generation chair for a second term. All appointments are for the 2011-2012 term.
"These officers join a wonderful group of volunteers who continue to not only develop new and exciting programs for our members, but also serve as the voice of the industry for the sectors they represent," said ICSC's president and CEO, Michael Kercheval. "All of us here at ICSC look forward to working with them during the coming year," Kercheval added.
Every year ICSC appoints volunteer officers and tasks them with the responsibility of representing the association at large. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to, attending divisional committee meetings, discussing concerns and activities within their division with other ICSC officers, mentoring members and other ICSC officials, promoting committee participation and other ICSC activities, and ensuring that ICSC policies and procedures are upheld.
