The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Foundation is pleased to announce the donation in the amount of $5,000 to the Cruz Roja Americana, Capitulo de Puerto Rico (American Red Cross in Puerto Rico) for Haiti, after the country was hit by a devastating earthquake last month.

The check was presented on January 28, 2009 by John T. Riordan, ICSC's past president and CEO, during the Puerto Rico Idea Exchange, ICSC's annual, regional conference in Puerto Rico. "It gives me great pleasure to present this check to the American Red Cross, for the country of Haiti in the wake of this terrible disaster," said Riordan.
Established in 1988, the ICSC Foundation is the non-profit public charity of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc. (ICSC). As the grant-making arm of ICSC, the foundation serves as a conduit for philanthropic giving by ICSC members.

Embodying the belief that "Shopping Centers Make a Difference," the ICSC Foundation promotes and supports humanitarian efforts, undergraduate and graduate-level college and university students, retail real estate practitioners, and occasional disaster relief for the shopping center industry.
