2020 Winner: This year’s recipient, Ashley Lindsey, is an incredibly engaged young professional member who has chaired the Awards Submissions committee for several years. This year she has taken on the responsibility of growing the afternoon sessions at FMForward. She brings her decisiveness, leadership, and insight to every initiative she takes on.
President’s Award: Dawn Borden, FacilitiesPM
About the Award: The President’s Award recognizes an individual who is passionate about what they do—either as a leader from within or outside the IFMA Boston chapter, and represents the very best of the IFMA’s core values. This award is selected by the current Chapter President and reflects strong service to the organization.
2020 Winner: Dawn Borden has given more than fifteen years to the IFMA Boston leadership team, first as a co-chair of Programs, then onto the Board where she spent the past six years in the Presidential track. During her tenure, we have experienced important transformations within the chapter. She was instrumental in redefining the chapter’s vision, mission and values and as a result of that work, we’ve seen a 400% increase in FM engagement and more content rich programming aimed at our target market—the FM. She has also worked to further our Thought Leaders program where we bring together FM members for information sharing and peer-to-peer networking.
Vision 2020 Award: Jackie Falla, Elaine Construction
About the Award: This award is presented to an individual or organization that is working with the Chapter to fulfill its vision to further the recognition and expertise of the facility management professional, and our mission to be the complete, expert resource for facility managers in the Boston area. This is a special award that may not be presented every year, but signifies exceptional efforts in support of the Chapter.
2020 Winner: This year’s recipient, Jackie Falla, has been a bright star on the Chapter’s volunteer leadership for many years, first co-chairing the IFMA Boston Corporate Real Estate Network, then joining our Think Tank group that conceives of all of the chapter’s programming. Her innovative program ideas and focus made her an amazing candidate to spearhead our newest venture—the FMForward podcast. Jackie didn’t just host the podcast, she built it from scratch—going out of her way to learn what it takes to launch a podcast, finding the perfect guests, securing studio space, and working with the Chapter to conceive of the look, feel and sound of our first season all focused on the risks facing FMs today.
