Boston, MA The Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai has raised more than $100 million for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s fight against cancer since 1989.

On September 25, more than 9,400 participants and 1,000 volunteers worked to raise more than $8.3 million for compassionate patient care and innovative cancer research at Dana-Farber.

IFMA member Andrew Verderame is head of the community action committee and the site captain for IFMA members who volunteered at Refueling Station #3 on West Central St. and Boden Ln. in Natick. There are 12 refueling stations with food, water, and medical support. All routes conclude at the Copley Sq. Finish Line, where walkers receive a commemorative 2016 Jimmy Fund Walk medal and have the opportunity to take a team photo, and celebrate with live music and food.

Volunteers are a vital part of the tremendous success of the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. IFMA would like to thank all who came out and hope to see you and more next year.
