On Thursday, September 22, BOMA hosted a Roundtable on “Active Shooter and Situational Awareness.” John Tello, assistant director of safety & security, property management at Boston Properties and sergeant Lucas Taxter, from Boston Police Department District 4 conducted a training session to help members prepare for the unexpected. This Roundtable was presented by BOMA’s emergency preparedness committee in recognition of Preparedness Month. The program was sponsored by BELFOR Property Restoration.

On Wednesday, September 28, BOMA members and non-members participated in a behind-the-scenes tour of the Warriors Ice Arena, part of the Boston Landing development project in Brighton. The tour, conducted by BOMA member Alexa Stevens, Transwestern, provided insight on additional development at the New Balance village including the Celtics practice facility, hotel and residential planning, and the unique New Balance track.

Upcoming Fall Programs: On Tuesday, October 18, BOMA Boston will host a Roundtable on managing risk and implementing insurance programs that will help advance your business. Matt Magiera and Peter Quinlan of Fred C. Church Insurance, will simplify the process of designing an organization’s insurance program and help you save time and resources will executing your plan.

Networking Nites are free for BOMA Boston members, and non-members are welcome to attend at the low price of $25. 2016 BOMA Boston TOBY & Industry Awards: Join us on Tuesday, November 15 for The TOBY Industry & Awards Dinner to find out who the region’s best buildings and property managers are! This is BOMA Boston’s single largest gathering with close to 600 in attendance. The TOBY & Industry Awards will be held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place from 5:30 – 9 p.m.
