In memory of Albert K. Antonio

June 23, 2011 - Spotlights
Albert Antonio, vice president and branch manager, Commonwealth Land Title, passed away suddenly on March 20th. Antonio was an attorney licensed to practice in R.I., Mass. and Fla. He was first vice president of the New England Land Title Association, a Lifetime Fellow in the Rhode Island Bar Association, and chairperson for the title standards and practices committee. He received numerous awards for excellence in management and customer service, including two appointments to the LandAmerica Achievement Circle.
Early in his legal career, he worked for former U.S. attorney general Janet Reno as legal adviser for the Dade County Public Safety Department. Prior to becoming an attorney, Antonio was a police officer in Barrington. During the course of his life, he served many civic, professional and charity organizations and was an avid runner and athlete, sharing his time generously on behalf of many youth groups.
Antonio's greatest joy was his family, his wife Karen and 7 children; Karen, Matthew, Michael, Kristen, Katherine, Nicholas and Kylie and their respective families all celebrated their lives together with Antonio and will forever cherish the lessons and memories they created.
We all mourn the passing of this energetic and accomplished member of our little title community.
