Integrated Builders completes 120,000 s/f self-storage facility

Walpole, MA Integrated Builders has completed construction for the 120,000 s/f self-storage facility from the ground-up on behalf of real estate investment firm Highland Development Ventures at 5 Foxhill Dr. 

The Integrated Builders team included project manager Dean Kelliher, assistant project manager Barbara Frazier and project superintendent Herb Volpe who implemented the design.

The new Extra Space Storage facility was constructed three-stories high with a structural steel frame. The exterior features insulated metal wall panels. The interior was built with concrete slab to include a vapor barrier. It houses 819 temperature controlled self-storage units that can be accessed through automatic sliding doors in the front entrance or one of two drive-in loading docks with roll-up doors. The construction also includes the installation of two elevators for customer convenience. The entire building is equipped with a fire protection sprinkler system, and features energy efficient sensor lighting. There is a contemporary reception area and office built out for administrative purposes as well as a break room and restrooms.
