Interstate Electrical Services Corp. installs dynamic lighting display at 103 CityPoint - owned by BXP

Waltham, MA Interstate Electrical Services Corp., one of the largest privately held electrical services companies serving greater New England, participated in a unique and eye-catching project on a prominent building owned by BXP. Interstate was selected to help bring the building owner’s vision to life leading to the unveiling of a dynamic lighting display at 103 CityPoint (103 4^th Ave.). The lighting installation showcases Interstate’s expertise in complex electrical systems and its commitment to pushing the boundaries of lighting design.

The project began with the building owner’s desire to create a dramatic and captivating lighting display on the building’s facade. The challenging design required Interstate to collaborate closely with designers, builders, and manufacturers to ensure the desired effect.

“This project, stemming from the incredible vision of our client, was a true collaboration between the owner, our team and the architect,” said Eric Crouch, assistant project manager at Interstate Electrical Services. “We faced some initial challenges with color consistency, but through open communication and a commitment to excellence, we were able to deliver a stunning result. PORT Lighting was especially pivotal in getting the dynamic controls across the finish line.”

The final installation features over 700 feet of color-changing LED lights, meticulously positioned to transform the building’s façade into a dynamic canvas. The system allows for an array of pre-programmed shows, enabling the building to celebrate holidays, support local organizations, or simply showcase a vibrant display of colors.
