Introducing the 2016 CAI-NE president - Wesley Blair

Wesley Blair, Brookline Bank Wesley Blair, Brookline Bank

As I begin my term as president of the New England Chapter of CAI, I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to 2015 Chapter president, Janet Aronson and members of the board of directors for their strong and thoughtful leadership over the past year, as well as to all of our members who have volunteered countless hours to help make the chapter one of the strongest in the nation.  The strength of the New England chapter was brought home to me in April of last year when I attended the CAI national training sessions in preparation for my term as chapter president.  Listening to and speaking with officers and executive directors from other chapters around the country gave me a real appreciation for the local resources and talent at our disposal, not to mention our monthly publication Condo Media magazine, which is the envy of most.

To be a part of such an organization and to have the opportunity to lead it is both an honor and a privilege.  Since I last served as chapter president in 2004, there have been many changes in the organization – the chapter publishes Condo Media magazine, New Hampshire is one of our chapter member states, and great strides have been made in reaching out to constituents around New England.  But even while the New England chapter is one of the strongest among 60 chapters world-wide, I see opportunities ahead of us this year and I will push myself as well as our volunteer leaders and members to take advantage of them.  From improving our print and online communications to focusing on professional manager development, we will be constantly looking for new ways to meet the needs of the various groups within our community.  It’s an exciting time for our chapter and I am proud to be a part of it.
