A great evening was had by all of the 70+ attendees at the 2011 IREM-CT award, designation, officer installation and holiday party held at Baci Grille on December 5th. Among our list of Members and Friends of IREM, the vice president of the New Jersey Chapter 101, Diane Wersler, and IREM National's Region #1 vice president, Robert Cuttle, CPM and his wife Karen joined us from Rhode Island.
We welcomed Lisa Parisi as a new ARM and Michelle DeRosa, Lynn Koroser-Crane, Dale Reese and Evan Schmidt as new CPMs, as they all took their oath and received their certificates and pins that help show their level of commitment to their industry.
We also awarded IREM Friend of the Year to JP Maguire, received by Bill Jackson. The 2011 ARM of the Year was presented to Carmen Morales, ARM of Hallkeen Management. The 2011 CPMC of the Year was presented to Arlevia Williams, CPM, from CHFA, and the 2011 CPM of the Year was awarded to Wendy Williams CPM, also from CHFA.
Then we were honored to have Robert Cuttle, CPM, as regional vice president of IREM, to then install the 2012 officers of the Chapter:
Jason Falcetta, CPM ACoM, President
Sandi Siedel, CPM, Vice President
Laura Waldrop, CPM, Treasurer
Heather Phillps, ARM, CPMC, Chapter Secretary
The last presentation of the evening included a Past President Award from the Executive Council to Sandi Siedel, CPM. After three years as Chapter president, Sandi has graciously agreed to stay on as vice president to help continue the progress the chapter has made in the past few years and provide assistance to Jason and the council going forward.
The evening rounded out with some great raffles donated as well as a beautiful gift basket from Mac Gray Laundry. Tickets for this basket were offered to those individuals that brought an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. The generosity of the toys collected actually required Sgt. McDonald of the USMC to call in a fellow Marine to pick up the toys as they wouldn't fit in his car.
Overall, the night was a great success and the a great way to welcome new members, recognize members that have helped the Chapter grow as well as "Pass the Torch" to the new and continued leaders of the Chapter.
