IREM hosts wine dinner at Granite Links Golf Course

The IREM Boston Chapter #4 hosted its first ever wine dinner at Granite Links Golf Course on February 24. It was a great success and the chapter plans to host a similar event in the fall. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Flynn Law Group for their generous sponsorship of this event and their continued support of the chapter. Attendees enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and four course wine pairing in the Members Room and a wonderful networking event for attendees.

The executive committee is hard at work planning participation in several community outreach events including a volunteer effort with the Habitat for Humanity and the upcoming walk for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF is the only global diabetes foundation with a strategic plan to end type 1 diabetes (T1D). The executive committee plans to present a charitable donation to this important organization at the Presidential Gala event scheduled for November 10th at the Top of The Hub skywalk.

Additionally, the chapter will be supporting the Boston Police Foundation as the charitable recipient at the 2016 IREM Golf Tournament scheduled for Monday, September 12 at Granite Links Golf Course. The executive committee will be sponsoring and attending the upcoming Police Foundation Gala event on March 5 at the Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston.

The executive committee is very pleased to report that Tasha Davis of Trinity Management Company was a recent chapter recipient of the IREM Foundation Diversity Outreach Scholarship. We congratulate Tasha on her accomplishments and look forward to seeing her achieve her CPM designation.

Please watch for important information on the first ever IREM New England Conference and Tradeshow scheduled for September 22 at the Mystic Marriott Hotel in Groton, Conn. The New England Conference and Tradeshow will include four educational breakout sessions that cover topics such as current federal vs state laws regarding medical marijuana; what is happening in the world of utility deregulation, top 10 legal issues in property management; social media in property management; disaster planning; and safety on the job. Members will receive early registration pricing if you register by May 1st.
