IREM president’s message: Golf tournament on Sept. 12

The IREM Boston Chapter is gearing up for the annual charity golf tournament at Granite Links on Monday, September 12. This year the IREM Boston Chapter is proudly supporting the Boston Police Foundation. Presently we have 32 companies and 116 golfers that will take to the course more are expected.

On September 22 the chapter will gather in Groton, Conn. for the first New England Regional Conference and Tradeshow. Over 250 attendees have registered to date with the hope that even more will sign up to participate. This event will include a breakfast buffet;  four educational breakout sessions covering topics ranging from utility deregulation, a technology and social media panel, disaster planning and laws governing medical marijuana; luncheon and keynote speaker.  The chapter extends its sincere appreciate to all of the sponsors, exhibitors and participants.

I am pleased to report that the Boston Chapter has met its $5,000 fundraising goal for the upcoming Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation One Walk (JDRF) on October 1. We are asking the members to visit our team page and sign up to walk. This will be a great opportunity to meet other members of the chapter while participating in this great event. If you can not join us for the One Walk on October 1, please consider registering for the IREM Boston Crawl for a Cause event in Boston on October 7.
