On February 20, IREM's Greater Rhode Island Chapter No. 88 held its monthly meeting at the Providence Marriott.
The guest speaker for was state treasurer, Frank Caprio. Caprio addressed an audience of approximately 60 members and guests. His topics ranged from the State budget and how it will impact Rhode Island's economy and availability of affordable housing programs.
During the meeting, five new Accredited Residential Mangers (ARM) were inducted into the chapter. Chris Mellen, CPM, from the Simon Companies and a member of IREM National's executive committee, installed Michael Acheampong from Ferland Property Management, Nicole Bush from Winn Residential, Nicole Rebarkoff from NRI Community Services, Dominique Sanford from Simon Companies and Olga Trimmer from Fairfield Residential
On March 25, IREM's Greater Rhode Island Chapter No. 88 and ARS Restoration will present a ½-day seminar on Disaster Planning. This seminar will discuss the common disasters a property may be exposed to including fire, flooding, smoke and mold, and way to minimize risk and reduce damages.
