Jackman of Jackman Commercial Realty, Inc. named Realtor of the Year by NH Commercial Investment Board of Realtors

John Jackman, president of Jackman Commercial Realty, Inc., has been selected as the Realtor of the Year from the NH Commercial Investment Board of Realtors (NHCIBOR), according to Gerry O'Connell, president of NHCIBOR. Jackman's company was originally established in 1995; however he had previously been in the commercial brokerage business for six years before going out on his own. Jackman graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in music education and returned to NH to be a public school teacher. After changing careers he completed the rigorous educational process of becoming a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and is recognized as an expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry. John has always been active in NHCIBOR as a charter member and recent board of director. He currently sits on the board of directors of the New England Commercial Property Exchange (NECPE), the Northern New England Real Estate Network (NNEREN) and a Past President of the New England Chapter of CCIM. He's been a member and leader of many task forces and committees of the organizations over the years. Jackman has been involved with community, artistic and civic organizations including the Manchester Rotary Club, a past executive director of the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra and board member, the North Country Center for the Arts, New Hampshire Artist Association, Manchester Zoning Board and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to name a few. Jackman grew up in Atkinson and currently resides in Manchester. After making the announcement, O'Connell explained that the board's judges made their selection after considering the records of four of contenders for the honor. The basis of judgment, he said, was the contribution of the Realtor to the betterment of community life, and his conduct of business reflecting the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Realtors. NHCIBOR plans to submit the name and record of their Realtor of the Year in the New Hampshire Association of Realtors statewide competition for the state Realtor Of the Year, where all board ROTYs are recognized at the state convention in September.
